Portland women advance to NCAA Finals
The Portland Pilots shut out Penn State 2-0 in the NCAA College Cup Semifinal in Austin, Texas. Christine Sincair put the Pilots up 1-0 in the 3rd minute, and Wanda Rozwadowska added another goal in the 58th minute. The Pilots will face West Coast Conference foe Santa Clara on Sunday at noon in a match to be shown live on ESPN.

Pilots prepare for semifinal matchup with Penn State
Portland takes on Penn State in the first semifinal game of the 2002 NCAA Women's College Cup, the Pilots' seventh semifinal berth in 10 playoff appearances. The game will be televised live on ESPN2 at 2pm Pacific Time on Friday.

Christine Sinclair tied two NCAA tournament records Sunday, leading #8 Portland to a 4-0 third-round College Cup win over Richmond. Portland (17-4-2), advances to the quarterfinal round against top-seeded Stanford, Saturday, Nov. 30 at 7 p.m.

Number-one seed Lindenwood University (Mo.) defeated ninth-seeded Concordia University (Ore.) 3-2 in penalty kicks in the quarterfinals of the 2002 Annual NAIA Women’s Soccer National Championship.

Portland will host an NCAA Women's College Cup third round game Sunday, Nov. 24 at 1 p.m. The Pilots will face Richmond, which beat James Madison 1-0 on Sunday to advance.

Senior Missy Clark and junior Amy Jackson scored two goals apiece as the Concordia University women's soccer team defeated Western Baptist College 4-1 in Saturday's Region I Final, advancing the Cavaliers to the NAIA National Tournament.

Christine Sinclair scored two more goals as the Pilots outshot the Utes 15-2 in a 3--0 victory in the NCAA second round, held at BYU.

Missy Clark and Aimee Wright each scored and had an assist as the Concordia University women's soccer team defeated Rocky Mountain College 2-0 today at Strasser Field, advancing to the final game tomorrow against Western Baptist, who defeated Simon Fraser 4-3 in a penalty kick shootout.

Concordia takes Cascade Conference title with 3-1 win
The Concordia Women's soccer team used second half goals from Beth Stauffer and Christal Grazier to break a 1-1 tie and earn the Cavaliers the Cascade Conference Championship with a 3-1 win over the Western Baptist Warriors in a match played on a muddy pitch at Concordia University in Portland. Missy Clark had the other goal for the Cavaliers while KeriAnn Lawson had the lone goal for the Warriors.

Vikings fall to host Idaho State in overtime in Big Sky final
The Vikings were not able to break through against host Idaho State in the Big Sky championship, falling 1-0 in overtime.

Pilots can't break through against San Diego, draw 0-0
Portland outshot San Diego 18-1 Thursday, but couldn't break through in a 0-0 double-overtime tie with the Toreros. The Pilots concluded the regular season with a 14-4-2 overall record, 4-2-1 in WCC games. San Diego finished 11-6-3, 3-3-1 in WCC games.

The #4 Pilots were not able to break through against Santa Clara, losing by a 1-0 score. The Pilots leading scorer Christine Sinclair did not play as she was on the field for Canada in their 3-0 Gold Cup win over Costa Rica.

Katie Miyake scored 3 goals in the Vikings' 5-1 win over the Lumberjacks at PGE Park on Sunday. The Vikings secure 3rd place in the Big Sky conference and will face Montana in the Big Sky tournament on Thursday in Pocatello, Idaho.

Late goal lifts Vikings to 2-1 win over Western Oregon
Carly Sawhill scored in the 82nd minute to break a 1-1 tie and give the Vikings a 2-1 win over Western Oregon in a match played on Wednesday night at a chilly PGE Park. Megan Plinski opened the scoring for the Vikings in the 6th minute with Mary Mulkey scoring the lone goal for the Wolves in the 32nd minute.

The Portland State Vikings secured a spot in the Big Sky playoffs with a 0-0 draw against the Montana Grizzlies today at PGE Park. I don't have a full match report for this match (as I arrived late and left early), but I have posted 17 match photos.
